Darling, gather up your stuff and run. Hospitals are full of women like you. Good women, who feel like they can change a violent man. Of course you have trust and dependency issues. You can't trust him nor depend on him and my guess is that you have only ever been involved with men who treat you badly. His family (and yours) should be ashamed of themselves for not dragging you away from him before you are badly hurt...as I say...run...NOW.
