Why am I getting scorn from many for preferring intellectual conservatism instead?
I like The American Conservative, The Economist, The American Spectator, The National Review, the writings of the late William F. Buckley, Jr. and Russell Kirk, commentators such as Pat Buchanan, David Horowitz and Alan Keyes over uneducated populists such as Sean, Rush and Glenn. I don't care for Sarah Palin as I find her to be an unoriginal demagogue and I can't stand the vituperative nature of Ann Coulter who often displays a lack of cl and tact, yet, when I bring this up to the Right here, despite the fact that I am pro-Second Amendment, anti-political correctness, pro-life, pro military, pro-Western culture and civilization, against affirmative action and against cultural Marxism, I get accusations of being a rabid leftist. Can't some people understand that I just hate ignorance, whether it be on the left or right and will not waste my time with such people, therefore I value the intelligent over the uneducated? Why is the notion of a person with many conservative viewpoints disdaining people who are uneducated and willfully ignorant so strange and so "liberal" in their point of view? I didn't get an education and work in the real world and tour the world in order to be brought down to a lower level by ignoramuses. If I were a leftist, I would shun Michael Moore, Randi Rhodes, Janeane Garofalo and much of Hollywood as they display a great deal of ignorance as well.
